Wedding Cakes
Your wedding cake is the shining star of the food served at your wedding reception. The wedding cake has been a tradition for many years. The history of the wedding cakes dates back to medieval England. Back then, each wedding guest would bring a small cake to the ceremony and the cakes would be stacked on top of each other. According to tradition, if the bride and groom were able to kiss over the tall stack, it would bring them a lifetime of prosperity. Legend has it that after viewing this tradition, a French baker first created a cake in the shape of the small cakes and covered it in frosting. This tradition has survived the ages, and the stacks of cakes are now served as a single, tiered cake.
There are different designs for your wedding cake that can be used—whether you want a lavish cake for over a hundred guests, or a beautiful, but modest creation for your family and friends. All cakes and desserts are made from scratch on-site in our pastry kitchen by Executive Pastry Chef Anibal Rodriguez and his team. Chef Rodriguez works with brides and grooms to create the perfect cake for their special occasion.
