La Mina Falls, El Yunque National Forest, Río Grande, Puerto Rico

La Mina Falls is El Yunque's most visited cascade, a graceful 35-foot waterfall that tumbles through a lush corridor of ancient tree ferns, bamboo, and broadleaf tropical plants into a popular natural swimming hole below. Situated along the La Mina Trail, this waterfall exemplifies El Yunque's magical quality — the sensation of standing within a living, breathing forest where the sounds of rushing water, birdsong, and rustling canopy create an immersive natural sanctuary.
